The twins, Justine Marie and Lauren Ann, are 4 months old.

Background: As most of you know, Justine Marie (at left above) and Lauren Ann (at right above) were born in Chicago to Troy and Connie on May 16, 2005, 10 weeks premature. They are both just one day old in these photos. Justine weighed 2 lbs-9 oz and Lauren weighed a tiny 1 lb-13 0z at birth. The babies remained in the Special Care Unit of Northwestern Hospital until Justine was discharged on July 11 and Lauren on Aug 1.

In the photos that Carrie took for this blog album, the babies are about 4 months old. Justine weighs 11 lb-4 oz and Lauren weighs 8 lbs-3 oz. They are both just beginning to coo, smile, and respond to the people around them. They like music, black and white rattles, and shiny things like mirrors. It's truly amazing the progress these little babies have made in just four short months and we all love them to pieces!

Carrie, Connie's sister shown here, has a great camera that takes great pictures. She was kind enough to make me a disc of some of the shots she has gotten of Justine, Lauren and the family. I want to showcase them in this blog album.
